A week in review..some happy..some sad..

As you can see Mareesa and Ronin had a very good Easter, it started off with a early Easter egg hunt at home which only lasted a few minutes because we had to leave the house and be at Kal's work by 8:30AM for the staff Easter candy hunt.......(the picture of Mareesa on the floor surrounded by candy) there was a Easter bunny there but Mareesa didn't want to have anything to do with him. It was fun they had five aisles at the back of the store covered with candy and they were divided by ages so Mareesa had her aisle to herself for most of the time, until the big kids finished theirs and came to clean up. At the end of it the Bunny gave the kids gifts, Mareesa & Ronin came hime with some, stuffed animals and books and even some sun block, just what we'll need in the summer!! By this time its 9:30 and Mareesa has consumed at least a dozen little chocolate eggs!! OMG..........

After we left Kal's work we headed to his doctor appointment, on the way there my Aunt called and informed us that my Uncle Mar in the Philippines had passed away early in the morning, he'd been battling cancer for a while now and it finally took him. So at that moment the day just seemed very sad, it was like my body just shut down, in the meantime the kids and I waited for Kal in the truck so that Ronin could nap and we waited for 2 hours.....let me tell you it felt like 10 hours and it wasn't a good idea!! I just didn't want them around sick people in the clinic. Finally we left and headed home, we had plans to go to my brothers house for egg hunt# 3 and easter dinner, my mom was cooking the turkey and she wasn't sure she'd be up for anything after getting the news, but decided to go and be with family. So my mom and my Aunt decided they were going to go back home to the Philippines and they were able to find a cheap flight but they had to leave out of Seattle the next day. They'll be away till April 12th. I miss my mom so much and so does the kiddies.

This past week has been hard for me because I have that cold and fluish thing thats been going around. I've been trying to keep it to myself, but of course Mareesa now has a bit of it. Poor little girl, shes got watery eyes and runny nose hopefully (knock on wood) she doesn't get the terrible cough. Tuesday afternoon Ronin had his 6 month shots which I wasn't looking forward too, he did way better than I expected, or maybe that was me that did better. Everyone at the health clinic just thought that he was the cutest thing ever, they just loved his big smile and his big hairdo.

We had two birthday parties to attend today Saturday March 29th, the first was for Danica's 2nd it was at Flip City Gymnastics which Mareesa had a blast!! She was able to be free to jump, roll and run everywhere. This was a test to see if we should enroll her into gymnastics and I think she'll love it!! Happy Birthday Danica!!

While we were at Danica's party Kal noticed that Ronin cut his first tooth!! YAY!! He's been such a trooper with his teething, he drools alot but it hasn't really bothered him that much.

After that we went to celebrate my brother Kevin's 32nd birthday! He had some friends and alot of family over at their house to celebrate. They had some good food as usual and it was nice to just relax and catch up with everyone. Happy Birthday Kevin!!

New Stroller!!

I can't believe I'm sooo excited about my big purchase today, a Phil & Ted's Sport Buggy!! We've been contimplating buying it, its not cheap but I hear it's a really good stroller to have, a few ladies at the play club have it and they love it!! My mom and I went to the kids store to just look at it but left the store with it and a new car seat for Ronin, my first car cost less than this purchase today. OMG!! Oh well its a necessity.....right?? Now I have to post my other stroller on CL.......I'm not sure what I can sell it for but am going to try to sell it for $200, hoping to get $150. I was going to sell it back to the store I got it from, but the lady there told me to sell it on CL, I would probably get more for it. So wish me luck!!

I hope that the weather will be nice tomorrow or at least no rain, I want to walk the kiddies to the play club and hopefully they'll like their new ride!!

My babies are growing way too fast!!

I can't believe how fast my life is going right now, I guess when you have two little ones to watch grow, it happens right before your eyes!!

Ronin will be 6 months in 9 days and I've started him on some solids, he's having cereal in the morning and today I bought him some fruits & veggies to try at dinnertime. He's been sitting with us at dinner and just watches us eat hoping that a spoonful is coming his way. Well tonight is his lucky night!! He's also been teething it hasn't really bothered him too much yet, hopefully he'll be like his big sister and not even notice his teeth coming through.

And there's Mareesa, what a little girl she is..........She is learning new things to say everyday, the last thing new thing she said today is Daddy goes to work to make "money", I've been trying to get her to say London Drugs, that's where daddy works, I think she knows but forgets everytime I ask her. Kal is teaching her some Tibetan words to say like nose, eyes, mouth and ears. I think he only told her a couple of times and she already knows some of them, its so cute to see her understand another language. I want my mom to speak to her in filipino aswell, she should be able to pick that up easy as her spanish is getting there thanks to Dora!!

This morning I took some pics of my Christmas cactus that just bloomed this week, we've been pampering them since we got them last year, I bought them at Home Depot in the clearance section for 50 cents, they were pretty much dead and now they have a beautiful flower.

Tonight Kal and I picked up a couple of things I found on Craigslist, we drove all the way to North Vancouver to pick up a $7 booster seat, it's exactly what I wanted and am very happy to have found it. This was my first time to do this so when we got to the house I was really careful only because of the horror stories you hear......anyways that was succesful and then we headed to Vancouver to pick up a Baby B'air flight vest for Ronin, it attaches to the parents seat belt so in case of turbulence the baby won't go flying, it's a good thing to have just in case. So I'm a happy craigslist shopper.....YAY!!!
